  4. Now I got some ideas. I don't own a fitted baseball cap because I'm also in between sizes.

Otherwise, it'd be an absurd rule, wouldn't it? I'm the one that can't make Trump jokes. I'd tell you how fucking mistreated I've been here on this forum since day one, for which I still harbor enormous resentments that never went away, but then the guy with the mod hat would call me a martyr.

Good for you that you're not me 'cause if you were, you couldn't imagine the shrieking and over the top hysterics with calls for safe spaces and bans and tortures that would ensue if I made that joke. Then they'd call me all sorts of bad names for another couple of days and create four or five different threads to bust my balls but as soon as I responded, the guy with the mod hat would chastise me. Could you believe that fucking **** Ivanka who goes on national network television to campaign for her father for President who, if nothing else, vowed to destroy Roe v. Wade but then wants the liberals to think she's on the side of women's rights?

If I was working with a clean slate, I might've made the Marlins my favorite team. It was the re-branding. The new unis. The ditching of "Florida" for "Miami". Miami's cool. Florida, as far as I'm concerned, is white trash central that gave us Bush and now Trump. The new modern stadium with the pop art touches everywhere that broke the tired retro ballpark theme. I mean it's 25 years now and they're still copying Camden Yards. But Jeter or Trump would definitely drive me away. I mean, it's not as if I live in Miami or something. And their stadium food's kind of on the sucky side, especially by today's standards. So there's that, too.
  13. I've also always noticed these competing definitions of opening day and they've always annoyed the living shit out of me, at least to the extent that such a trivial thing in the grand scheme of things could annoy me in the first place. I don't know what the official definition of opening day is, or if there even is one, but as far as I'm concerned, a team has one opening day -- and its the first game of the season, irrespective of where that game's played. Every team has a "home opener"*, but if that home opener isn't the team's first game of the season, it's not opening day in my book -- it's just a home opener. *But not the Port Ruppert Mundys.

Noah Syndergaard Matt Harvey Bartolo Colon Dillon Gee Jonathon Niese Mike Pelfrey Johan Santana If you switched Santana and Pelfrey, you'dda had the correct reverse order. You shoulda known that Santana was misplaced, because that woulda meant Santana starting four straight openers (2008-2011). Still, a winner. Kindly send in six Dairylea product proof of purchases to claim your Miller/Rogers card. Employees of Dairylea and their family members are not eligible to collect this prize.
  15. On today's Mets game telecast, the booth gave out a remarkable Mets fact. Today began Terry Collins's seventh season as Mets manager -- and Terry's seventh game as the Mets opening day manager. And to date, Terry's used seven different opening day starters. In fact, the last time a Mets pitcher started consecutive opening days was Johan Santana, who started three straight openers, covering the years 2008-2010. Under Terry, not only has no Met hurler started consecutive opening days, but no Met pitcher has started more than one opener, consecutive or not. So here's the quiz --- in one post, name all seven pitchers who started Mets season openers under Terry Collins. We've got a Bob Miller Padres baseball card with Steve Rogers' name on it for the winner of this quiz.
