  3. =Centerfield post_id=169641 time=1726083668 user_id=65] Nice to see we're still not hitting.
  4. You earned your Stripes with that thread title. Later
  5. Sproat has been placed on the development list, which means he probably won't be pitching again this year. https://sny.tv/articles/mets-prospect-brandon-sproat-placed-triple-a-development-list?fbclid=IwY2xjawFNrNtleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHQE-Qk-Gn4ZdOE5CXOTulxOmbEvfXX46US2Yf41SycSWi6-IkBAAtrU8Qw_aem_ulVE-B7Z4iQ2AItz_fzqMw Later
  6. =MFS62 post_id=169515 time=1726003794 user_id=60] I find it amazing that we can take educated guesses about the Mets starters for the rest of the month, and the Syracuse team is playing a game scheduled to start in a half hour and they haven't named the starter yet. Are they pulling a 49-ers trick? Later

  12. I'm not sure he's strong enough to do that. He might not even be strong enough to break a sweat. Later
  13. Then what is Jayson Bay? Trumaine Johnson? Later

  15. Rogers Centre had an artificial surface that was likened to a billiard table when it was built. Have they changed the surface? If they haven't, I'd warn Vientos and Alfonso to double up on their cups. Later

  17. He was lucky to have received a kidney transplant a few years ago. Chronic Kidney Disease is a bitch. RIP, "Young Ed". He and my wife were schoolmates at James Monroe High School in the Bronx. (she was a year ahead of him) Later

  19. It is amazing that we can create a chart like this which gives an educated guess of who will be starting games throughout the month, but when I go to MiLB.com each morning to see who will be starting for the Mets minor league teams that night, Syracuse is always TBD. Starters are there for the other teams in the organization. Why is the daily starter for Syracuse always unpublished until game time? They have two or three pitchers on their top prospects lists or our adoptees. Wouldn't they want to put them into a regular, predictable rotation cycle? Later
  20. Mets down 7-4 in the 9th. Sproat started and it looks like he's heading for the loss. His numbers: 4.0IP 7H 5R 5ER 3BB 2K 1HR his AAA ERA is now 7.43. OE, the team tied it up so Sproat wasn't the losing pitcher. Later
  21. Trey gave up 1 run in 1 2/3 innings tonight. Later
  22. No, it is what I would want if they had to replace him, whether it describes the latest version of Alonso or not. Later
  23. Quintana made 100 pitches in his 100th major league victory. Later
  24. They would have to replace him with someone who could consistently drive in runs. Later
  25. Edgy MD wrote: It's a pretty rough break. It was a curveball. He was squared to bunt, which would seemingly allow his feet to dance out of the way. And he was hit pretty squarely on a protective pad. Not a very good recipe for a fracture. He should sue the pad manufacturer. We all should. Not quite the Law and Order episode where they're investigating the manufacturer of faulty body armor, but yeah. sue them! Later
