  2. (kidding).... Now we need to retire Aaron Ado
  3. another killer goof by escobar in the 9th! TRADE FOR MOUSTAKIS I TELLYA!!!
  4. Yeah, Goldschmidt is just a good player--and sounds like a 1960s era bargain regional beer brand. I'll have a Schaefer, and he'll have a Goldschmidt. Holy shit is McNeil a star. Great play and throw!
  5. So Luis Castillo and Mike Moustakas for D Smith and a mid-teir starting p prospect? Moustakas is a very expensive version of Smith but can do the same kinda shit; Castillo is a former all-star, very durable but for a spring injury this year, now back. Walks too many guys but good "stuff" The Cubs have several high-performing bullpen dudes--including some fellas I never heard of but have great numbers.
  6. Edgy MD wrote: I don't think it's clear what the Mets are missing if anything, right now, unless the catcher market is opening up. starting pitching depth
  7. Again they don't want/need these guys, it's that they'll take em if they bring what we really need... let's say for example Luis Castillo who had 18 quality starts last year
  8. This poorly written summary of a Buster Olney subscriber-only ESPN piece suggests that Cohen is prepping to wield his financial might to get the Mets more shit they need this year. Not made abundantly clear in this article --I suspect the writer missed the point-- was that Cohen will exhibit the cojones to swallow noncontender shit contracts, like Heyward or Moustakas-- if they come with star assets, who aren't named. https://www.si.com/mlb/mets/news/mlb-insider-identifies-mets-trade-targets-says-steve-cohen-is-on-a-missionhttps://www.si.com/mlb/mets/news/mlb-insider-identifies-mets-trade-targets-says-steve-cohen-is-on-a-mission
  9. I'm werried till they get to 12 over and I know what happened to scherz
  10. I'll be making a rare Wednesday Night Mets appearance at this one too. Section 323 with a guy I used to know in college
  11. "Watching" on the MLB game day app is kinda lame but i find it useful to fill in gaps or to monitor the action when I'm away from a broadcast
  12. Lost this one when Escobar whiffed 3 pitches with 2 on, 1 out in the... 6th? Energy in the crowd was great till that pitching change. Few douche fans in our section tonight detracted from the fun a little mostly an ignorant retard in a goldschmidt jersey who seemed to want to provoke a fight until he got too drunk and sorta went quiet mercifully
  13. We're right behind the right fielder, like our home run chances
  14. Got here in the top 8th. Crowd peaked too early cheering for Diaz, then nobody was up except us by last pitch. Booooks
  15. Another Tuesday Night Mets double-header! I'm gonna miss a lot of Game 1 but will be in section 102 for the 8th inning maybe, then all of Game 2
  16. Maybe both, I dunno
  17. I think the overuse-the-relievers biz related to the staring pitching werries, Buck also stayed with Bassitt and Carrasco longer than ultimately ideal, probably. I wonder if we'll see Szapucki soon, I peeked for a moment at Syracuse starters and he seems to be the only one whose numbers wouldn't scare you to death
