I don't think it is hyperbole to suggest at this point that what the Mets do between right now and Thursday night will go a long way in determining what kind of season we have in Flushing. And that's because you're a fucking idiot. Oh you want the profile to be a negative one? = Seriously though I still think I owe you or someone for Sunday.

  4. HA! So I'm guessing a lot of them are wondering what is it going to take to get their kid into Stony Brook or trying to finagle there way to an easy track to a 4.0?
  5. And as of today, that includes Reyes!

Right now I'd rather have m.e.t.b.o.t. playing than most of the guys on our roster!
  7. If ever the was a time for Reyes to WAKE THE FUCK UP, it is right now, this inning!
  8. Yeah, not even Lazy Mary will fire up the crowd this time!
  9. Yup new season, same Mets. How soon before "Willie Must Go!" chants start at Shea?
  10. Its like an extension of the last few months of last season (oh the collapse started back in June-ish when it seems the Mets were playing like the division was just going to be handed to them.)
  11. So despite Hershiser and Gibson's heroics you say Henderson would have helped win the 1988 title for the A's? Gee I wonder how he did against the Reds in 1990? 5 for 15, 3 SB and a homer. Not exactly winning numbers right there.
  12. Fair point, but as we are seeing with Reyes you have to deal with a selfish, me-first malcontent hot dog when things don't go according to plan. Robinson was a winning ballplayer with tons of heart and determination, can you REALLY say that about Rickey Henderson? Yes Henderson does have an MVP, but really, was Henderson THAT much of a difference maker on those A's teams? Or those Blue Jays teams a few years later? Give me a few Robinson types over a few Henderson/Reyes types if I want to build a winner.
  13. Werth's MLB photo shows this thing on his chin that looks worse than Speiezo's! FUGLY!
  14. Heh, true but at this point Reyes seems to no longer be the player he was prior to last July. Its even worse than Wright's post Home Run Derby slump at this point.
  15. metirish wrote: ="SteveJRogers"]At what point do we wonder if Reyes needs a "change of scenery" to ever be the player he was prior to Willie pulling a Hodges-Cleon on him? Next season he will have that change of scenery. Heh, I'm not referring to Shea/Citi. Either send him packing or fire Willie, Jose really seems to have "lost his smile" out there.
  16. Oh and for the record, I believe the last 10 months have proved my theory that yes Jose Reyes is NOT a Jackie Robinson type, but is a Rickey Henderson type of player.

  18. Benjamin Grimm wrote: ="Valadius"]What's wrong with Castillo? Why's he out of the game? "Right knee soreness." 4 years of this huh? 4 years of cranky knees and infield power!

  20. Scorecard roster page is as of March and he is wearing 26 accordingly! Holman is actually listed as 21 so maybe we have a "exchange" situation going.
  21. More evidence from a Met program from early in 1981 Bat obscures the number, but you can make out a 5 there.
