Reyes 2 Hairston 1.5 Thole 1 Byrdak 1 Igarashi 1 Harris .5 I'm inclined to score Hairston as I would and the just take away what I'd give him for the homer to account for the mis-play. I suppose he can have an extra half-point on the idea that he was trying to atone for the screwup by hitting a big homer.

Maybe they'll rest Tulowitzki in game #2. -

Here we go. Take another one, DW.

2-0. Another ball-in-dirt. I will take a game-tying WP.
-
Time to get this done David.
-
Gameday says that was ball 3 to Murphy

Stealing before the count is 1-2 or 2-2? Wow
-
Damn.
-
That was bmfc's call for the pinch-runner (credit where credit is due)

I think you have to run for Thole here. Maybe with Niese or Pelfrey if you don't want to burn Hu.

I knew Huston Street wasn't that good. Too bad we don't have anybody worth a damn to pinch hit for the pitcher.

Troy Tulowitzki wrote: Big stage, you know? They were all over me by my third at-bat. That's fun. And you know, I think also here, there a lot of people here, obviously you want to play well here for the All-Star votes. Things like that, the fans remember that. They're good baseball people.

Nice GIDP. Gameday says Dickey threw Tulowitzki nothing but fastballs (really?)
-
This isn't good (walking Gonzalez to load bases in front of Tulowitzki)
-
Funny. He gets on anyway with a single.
-
Murphy out on an unassisted, non-force play to the third baseman? Ugh.
-
I think he's overly optimistic that the Mets would find anyone willing to take Santana and/or that it would benefit the Mets to eat enough salary in order to get useful players back.

Collins was asked. Second question of the post game news conference. He suggested he feared setting up a big inning by walking guys. He sounded extremely pissed about the team's performance so far.
