  1. I do believe Labor Day Weekend got itself salvaged.
  2. Tejada 3.0 Davis 2.0 Niese 2.0 Hernandez 1.5 Pagan 1.5
  3. Adam Rubin reports Dillon Gee will be with club in DC, prospective No. 895. Also rejoining club: Valdes, Evans. Nick Evans, in case you've forgotten.
  4. Gloves that gripped the bat that was swung for the sacrifice fly that brought home the go-ahead run, but yeah. Why not just ask Tony La Russa for a piece of the gall he showed in using two position players to pitch when he still had actual pitchers available?
  5. Box Beltran 3.0 Davis 2.0 Pagan 0.5 Tejada 0.5 Castillo 0.5
  6. Mike Nickeas, 894.
  7. Mike Hessman: 37 ABs, 15 K's. Only other Mets whose Met careers more or less match this profile: Jimmie Schaffer: 37/15 Kevin Roberson: 36/17 Eli Marrero: 33/15
  8. That's good -- good enough for me and my Jenrry Meji'... (Don't know her baseball allegiances, but FWIW, Janis was a Jets fan.)
  9. Damn. Amazing. I love how the girl in the Shea photos is always holding up the We're No. 1 finger.
  10. Nickeas to catch Mejia. Though I hear they have shots for that now.
  11. You forgot to mention, "with no repeats" and that the player was chosen by May, if not earlier. If they were choosing it now, I suppose they would go with Dickey. Or NO IMAGE AVAILABLE.
  12. You know, in case the wind is blowing from Lake Michigan. Don't want you developing the kind of arm problems that plagued Tim Leary.
  13. Wright 3.5 Pagan 1.0 Duda 1.0 Hernandez 1.0 Arias 0.5 Davis 0.5 Acosta 0.5
  14. Shouldn't Omar fly MetBlue in recognition of how the fan base feels?
  15. They're still holding Fleece Blanket Night on September 10. It's a Gold game, so the fleece part was implied.
  16. Toast and Marmol-ade for we.
  17. Duda: In English it means What An Arm!
  18. Club Hessman has a new member! Luis Hernandez with One Met Homer. He makes up for the evacuation of Josh Thole the other day. Sixty-nine Mets have homered once and only once as Mets. I guess it's Club Hernandez now, technically, but I prefer Club Hessman. Believe me, Mike Hessman prefers being known for one home run as opposed to a thousand strikeouts.
  19. The future's not bright. We don't have to give you shades.
  20. Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce head of accounts Pete Campbell in Lane Pryce's office: CFO Lane Pryce:
  21. Santana 3.0 Beltran 1.5 Wright 1.5 Dessens 0.5 Feliciano 0.5 Parnell 0.5 Takahashi 0.5 Duda 0.5 Arias 0.5 Davis 0.5
  22. Roughly the same answers Wally Backman gave the Post.
  23. Jerry to Johan: Try to Win with This.
