The D-Rays LOST THEIR DH by improperly filling out the lineup card listing two players at 3B, Sonanstine batted 3rd and became the first AL pitcher to get an RBI in an AL vs. AL game since 1972.

]I've decided that I don't want Bengie Molina this offseason. He'd have to hit like Piazza to make all these stolen bases an acceptable loss. Sanchez is the 2nd worst lefty in the league at holding runners, and the rest of these clowns are much good either. Molina has thrown out 33% for his career, including 35, 30, 18, 31 the last 4 years (he's at 22% so far this year) he did so with 3 different teams, so you can probably say that represents his true ability rather than a reflection of the pitching staffs he caught. thats not to say i necessaruly want him, but his ability to throw out runners wouldnt be the reason i'd want to stay away

]I really , really dislike John Harper but couldn't resit reading his column today. i usually cant resist reading any baseball article that pops up, but alot of them suck. its hard to trade Reyes mid-season unless Wilmer Flores is magically going to skip 3 (4?) levels and produce right away. but if the mets were goig to do so I'd expect an ace pitcher, like Peavy.

Went to bed with a 4-2 lead in the 6th and woke up to see that the Giants tied it up on some BS infield hits but the BATS came through late again! 7 steals??? is this the 80's?

Bases Loaded. nobody out, Mets only get 1-run seems to be a repeating theme that I've been seeing for years already.

The Brewers called up top prospect Mat Gamel (he pinch-hit today) with an eye towards using him as the DH in 3 interleague road series coming up. This guy isn't all that young though, he's 24 and has ripped apart AA and AAA pitching the last two seasons. Bill Hall isn't exactly superman out there, Gamel might be here to stay, despite the manager's protestations to the contrary.

] It seems like fifteen or twenty years ago a guy would get booed for that sort of thing, and it might actually matter to the player, who felt like he owed something to the attendance. Not any more. Booing won't help. Calls to talk radio are masturbatory wastes of time. We are powerless. The separation between player and fan has grown to the point where support is expected with an ugly sense of entitlement and criticism brings only defiance. i dont care what the anti-booing folks say, booing is a well-deserved and appropriate responce to a player not giving 100% effort.
