    Just because of his Metly name, I always figured that Brian Giles would spend at least a little time with the Mets.

    My hunch is that the longer term plan for Tejada is to have him replace Castillo, either after 2011 when Luis' contract expires, or sooner if the Mets decide to ditch or bench Castillo. But he may very well get a month or so of big league action during the time that Reyes is out.

    We may be getting a much closer look at Ruben very soon. The buzz is that he has a good shot at being the Mets Opening Day shortstop this season.
