Oh, that's from the front page, yes. Those articles are geared more for casual readers. All front page articles are duplicated in the news forum if you'd like to read the articles there. There, it works just like a normal forum thread. https://grandcentralmets.com/forums/forum/8-grand-central-mets-front-page-news/

The listing is weird, because it's showing the Crane Pool Companion, but Google doesn't like to change domain names right away. But it's interesting to see the very basic search "mets forum" already has the forum up 10-15 places from where it was just ten days ago (and getting from the second to first page is a HUGE deal, second page results may as well not exist for 95% of users).

Does anybody know Citi Field *really* well?

Man, trying to lock down the Gaslamp is so difficult. First, it's ever-shifting, and second, it's just non-stop bars and restaurants. I hope to make it out to SD this summer, and add to the list a bit. -

Yeah, Steve and I have been chatting, I think we have this figured out. Thanks! -
Here's the link for all members. We won't see many people joining for quite a while, probably months. SEO is a slow grind. For the first 12 months, my primary mission is to keep the lights on and just survive. Year two is the first growth year. It's one of the reasons why the job is difficult. It takes a little money, quite a bit of effort, and a whole lot of time and patience. https://grandcentralmets.com/search/?type=core_members&sortby=joined&sortdirection=desc

It's intentional. What we do is take a long look over the course of months as the tide ebbs and flows. It is expected that the same people will vote multiple times. Then we post fun graphs showing how the outcome changes over the course of an offseason or season. Right now, the voting is a little weird because traffic is low. But at places like the Twins and Brewers sites, each voting option gets 50 votes a day in perpetuity.

I just got this out for Petco, and we could use a similar piece for Citi. We'll pay for the effort. Not a lot, but something. Grand Central Mets can be overwhelming to the uninitiated. Where many sites have blogs, or forums, and sometimes both, Grand Central Mets’s scope extends far beyond that and offers many fan-specific features you won’t find elsewhere. This guide will walk you through the site and its sections. Grand Central Mets News: This is the front page of the site, and the place you will find news and analysis from our stable of dedicated Mets writers. You can read and then comment on any article in this section. Notes & Rumors: This section features shorter pieces, including low-impact news such as a minor-league promotion or a brief stint on the injured list, as well as all free agent and trade rumors. This section is hopping in July and December. Grand Central Mets Forums: These operate much like traditional internet forums (for those of us born in the 1900s). It’s all user-generated content where people are free to talk baseball all day, every day. Unlike many places on the internet, basic human decency is expected and will be enforced. This is a place to talk baseball without the drama and nastiness found elsewhere. User Blogs: These are user-created blogs that look and read much like our front page news, though any Grand Central Mets user can create their own blog and be read by thousands of like-minded fans! If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at baseball writing, this is the place to do it. You will receive built-in readership from day one, allowing you to hone your craft. Grand Central Mets Videos: The counterpart to our front-page articles, this is where you will find our multimedia content, both news and analysis. Those are the five largest sections of the site. But we’re only getting started… Guides & Resources: Here, you will find a collection of useful resources, including stadium guides, an introduction to visiting spring training, a history of team ownership, a gift-giving guide, and more. Active Roster & 40-Man Roster: We maintain roster pages for both the 26-man (active) roster and the 40-man roster, updated nightly. Bullpen Usage Chart: Stay on top of bullpen usage with this handy chart that shows reliever usage over the past five days. The Activity Feed: This is a highly customizable page that many users bookmark as their primary launching point into Grand Central Mets’s content. You can select which content to show and which to ignore, and then save your feed preferences. Top Prospect Rankings: We have a dedicated page featuring the top 20 Mets prospects, which includes brief scouting reports, updated statistics, and recent articles and videos to keep you informed about your favorite prospects. Rank Your Favorite Prospects: Unlike most other publications, Grand Central Mets involves the community in ranking prospects. We hold open voting a half-dozen times a year, keep an eye open for the next round! Mock Draft Board: Assembled and maintained by Jamie Cameron, this draft board is a valuable resource for tracking potential draft picks and gauging the industry's collective view of them. It is updated and maintained from April through draft day. Fan Polls: One of the newest interactive features of Grand Central Mets, we update polls regularly, and you’re allowed to vote once a day. Let us know what you think of the Mets organization, its players, and personnel today! Offseason/Trade Deadline Blueprint: Have you always dreamed of becoming an MLB general manager? If so, check out our blueprint page, which is active during July and throughout the winter. Build the Mets roster to your specifications, then share it with other Grand Central Mets users for discussion. Become A Grand Central Mets Caretaker: Want to support the site at a higher level? Become a Caretaker today! Not only can you receive ad-free browsing of the entire website, but you also get first (and often free) access to our events and access to exclusive content. That’s most of what Grand Central Mets has to offer! If you have any questions or suggestions, you’re welcome to message our community manager, @Brock Beauchamp. How To Install On iPhone or iPad How To Install On Android Device Developing a pure, native app for either Android or iOS is a breathtakingly expensive endeavor, which is why we haven’t done it, despite so many requests over the years. Thankfully, technology has met us halfway, and PWAs (Progressive Web Applications) have reached maturity in the marketplace. What is a PWA? It’s effectively a pseudo-app that works much like a native application but doesn’t require tens of thousands of dollars in development to produce. It creates a single browser instance and maintains it as if it were an application. It’s basically a standalone browser tab, dedicated specifically to Grand Central Mets. From this app instance, you can receive notifications; the typical browser interface is removed, and the site is presented clearly, using as much screen real estate as possible, all without sacrificing any functionality. The site is faster, more reliable, and offers more mobile functionality than a standard web browser. Additionally, a newer, completely updated Grand Central Mets is coming later this year, and that will add even more app-like features, making PWA usage even better for all our users. With that said, here’s how you turn Grand Central Mets into an app on your mobile device. If "big media", you mean "guy with a pretty sweet laptop", yes. We have a lot of sites now, but we're a really small operation. It's mostly me and Brandon managing all the non-Twins sites.

Okay, this is going to be really really funny, at least to me. I've never used this functionality before. It was bundled into our software package a little while ago, and I never got around to it. This is actually really nice. I'm going to write up a thing on it. Thanks for prompting me to finally use that feature!

For real? We’re looking for writers.
