Wenninger Roughed Up As Syracuse Drops Road Game In Rochester
The Syracuse Mets fell 5-3 to the Rochester Red Wings despite out-walking and threatening late. Christian Arroyo led the offense, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, and an RBI, and Ryan Clifford added two hits, including a double, with a walk. Jihwan Bae also collected two hits. Syracuse drew six walks but stranded 12 runners and managed just three runs on nine hits.
Jack Wenninger struggled, allowing five runs, four earned, on nine hits and a walk while striking out two over four innings to take the loss. The game turned in the bottom of the sixth and seventh. In the sixth, Rochester scored twice on a groundout and a sacrifice fly to push the lead to 3-0. In the seventh, two more runs came across on a single that scored a runner from third, followed by another run-scoring single, making it 5-0. Syracuse answered with a run in the eighth on a bases-loaded walk to Cristian Pache and added two more in the ninth on Arroyo's home run, but the rally fell short. Zach Peek, Matt Turner, and Ofreidy Gómez combined for four scoreless innings in relief.

Perozo's Homer And A Ninth-Inning Throwing Error Walk Off Binghamton
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies edged the Portland Sea Dogs 4-3 on a walk-off in the ninth inning. Vincent Perozo provided the power, going 1-for-3 with a three-run home run that accounted for all of Binghamton's early offense. D'Andre Smith reached base three times, going 2-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base. Binghamton managed only four hits but drew four walks and stole three bases.
Bryce Conley turned in a short start on 46 pitches, allowing three runs over four innings on five hits and three walks while striking out seven. In the bottom of the second, Perozo launched his three-run homer to give Binghamton a 3-0 lead. Portland answered with two runs in the third on a groundout and an RBI single, then tied the game in the fourth on another run-scoring single. The score held at 3-3 until the bottom of the ninth, when Chris Suero and Eli Serrano III pulled off a double steal, and Suero scored the winning run on a throwing error by the catcher. Douglas Orellana, Carlos Guzman, and Brian Metoyer combined for five scoreless innings in relief, with Metoyer earning the win.

Voit And Bay Go Deep As Brooklyn Routs Wilmington
The Brooklyn Cyclones rolled to an 8-1 win over the Wilmington Blue Rocks behind a balanced attack and sharp pitching. Leadoff man Mitch Voit went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and an RBI, while John Bay reached three times, going 1-for-2 with a home run, a walk, three runs, an RBI, and a stolen base. Yonatan Henriquez was the offensive standout, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs, and an RBI, and JT Benson drove in three on a 2-for-4 day.
Irving Cota worked three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and a walk, and Tanner Witt followed with two scoreless innings, striking out six. The game broke open in the third and fourth. In the third, Brooklyn scored four times, getting RBI singles from Henriquez and Colin Houck before Benson capped the rally with a two-run single, making it 6-0. In the fourth, Voit and Bay hit back-to-back home runs to push the lead to 8-0. Wilmington's only run came in the sixth on an RBI single. Brooklyn's bullpen allowed just one run across the final six innings.

St. Lucie Erupts For Four In The Tenth To Beat Bradenton
The St. Lucie Mets pulled away late for a 6-3 win over the Bradenton Marauders in 10 innings. Randy Guzman led the way, going 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI. AJ Salgado came through with a 1-for-1 night that included a triple and an RBI, and Antonio Jimenez added a hit and a run. St. Lucie drew five walks and stole two bases while leaving seven on base.
Emilio Obispo set the tone with five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and no walks while striking out four. The game stayed tight before St. Lucie broke it open in the top of the 10th. With Francisco Toledo as the zombie runner, Salgado tripled him home, then scored on Peña's fielder's choice. Guzman followed with a run-scoring single, and Julio Zayas drove in another on a groundout, turning a 2-2 tie into a 6-2 lead. Bradenton scored once in the bottom of the 10th when their zombie runner, Dylan Palmer, came home on a bases-loaded walk, but St. Lucie closed it out. Joel Lara struck out four over two innings.
