bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Did Francona blow it by using Bauer on 3 days rest?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Bauer wasn't good and needed about 167 pitches just to get through the 2nd, but the fact that 6 of the 7 MFY runs tonight are unearned didn't help.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2017 Author Posted October 10, 2017 I think so, but my Indians fan friends were on board with it. Francona is generally a good manager, so he's racked up a lot of good karma with the fan base.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2017 Author Posted October 10, 2017 Best defensive club in the AL right here, folks.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Oh good, another error.I was starting to fear for a moment that the Cleveland infield was actually going to field a ground ball before the night was out.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2017 Author Posted October 10, 2017 Wow. This may turn into a game yet. Betances morphs into Rick Ankiel and the middle of the order is coming up with first and second and none out.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 So Yanx reliever Tommy Kahnle comes in to retire the side on 8 pitches, all strikes -- and yet he and Sanchez somehow required [u:2b7n3sbi]THREE[/u:2b7n3sbi] mound meetings to get through it.They confabbed after the second, fifth, and seventh pitches. Any wonder why they're (once again) headed for the four hour mark in a game that won't even go the full nine innings? When I'm commissioner (or just king of the world) the second mound visit in an inning would be met by immediate tasing of all involved.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Christ , there is just something( many things actually) that irk the fuck out of me seeing Mfy fans in the stands, they have a way about them

Its somewhere before civilized man learned to curve the brim on their baseball caps.Later
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 I just kinda know the MFY's will win just to make my life miserable.
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Cleveland must win tonight. I can't deal with a Yankees-Dodgers World Series.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Not all that comforting to realize that THIS* Cleveland team has now lost five consecutive put-away games; they were up 3-1 in last year's WS and now 2-0 in this series. That 22 game winning streak doesn't count for anything right now.* as opposed to stats you often hear quoted where the talking suit tells you about how franchise A fared against B in a series that took place during the freakin' Great Depression as if those games are somehow relevant to the current matchup
Guest cooby Guests Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Another 5 am day for me tomorrow but pleeeese Indians win!
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 It turned out that Didi Gregorious is an MLB talent.3-0 MFY's
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Didi is the second greatest shortstop the MFYs have ever had, right behind A-Rod.Later
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Yankee DNA for as long back as we all can remember has been cited on FS1!All bow, and remove your caps.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Going a little better now.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 If Cleveland bats are going to do this they're going to have to do it against the back of the Yanqui bullpen including Mr. Chapman.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Author Posted October 12, 2017 The Indians got to Chapman last year. It was just that the Cubs got to, uh, Tomlin, I think, more.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 He's throwing hard in the pen now ... looks like Girardi will go to him in an attempt to get the final six outs.No way Betances is seeing this game and of course this being AL ball there are no PH circumstances to take into account.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Author Posted October 12, 2017 26 total strikeouts this game so far. Do it, Joe. Ride that horse to oblivion.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Author Posted October 12, 2017 I love this move. Heading over to the local bar so I can actually watch the comeback.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Two months ago Chapman look totally lost to the point where he temporarily lost his closer's job.Been real good since then though.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Hey Lindor, that one stunning Grand Slam aside, they needed a lot more out of you in this series.Ditto Kipnis.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 3-4-5 in the seriously, I just used a racist word when I really meant "Guardians"' order next inning: Ramirez, Encarnacion, Santana, Jackson, Bruce
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 I have to sign off, I'm not gonna watch the celebration...
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Gardner REALLY working Allen here in the 9th.
