nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 was that Rosario's first hit or an error?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Getting dinked and dunked in Denver.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 If we started Reyes at second, or Reyes at third and Cabrera at second, we'd have an infield of four Mets shortstops.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 STOP DOINKING!SCORE RUNS LIKE THE METS DO! BY RUNNING TO FIRST ON A STRIKEOUT AND THEN CIRCLING THE BASES WHILE THE CENTERFIELDER REFUSES TO THROW!
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 I'm losing gas; win one for the 'buckets!!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Good catch, Blackmon. Now let's see you throw it.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Well, he'll probably be a defensive upgrade over the long haul but he wasn't tonight.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 I don't think he would have had time for the DP but clanky play anyway. Also trouble on the throw to 1st but a LH first baseman puts that in his pocket.Quick Coors Field review: concessions slow, volume in music in park blessedly low, volume of crowd low. Scoreboard nice but could be sharper. We liked the ivy and pine trees that go all across to the bullpens.Lots of Met fans in the crowd but most of us seemed resigned to losing and sick of Matz. He looked absolutely mopey and defeated.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Am I crazy? Does Rosario seem to be in the habit of running around backhanders, a la Matsui? Now, he has twice the arm Matsui had, but that won't mean much in the bigs if he's wasting time running around balls in the hole and then indulging all those mechanics on his transfer.Keep at it, man.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Worth noting that seemingly every veteran on the team was engaging with Rosario as the game wound down and after it ended, seemingly trying to make sure he wasn't beating himself up, and that was nice.
