Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 The A's have one pitcher, in the person of Sean Manaea, on the mound. The Mets counter with Zack Wheeler and thousands upon thousands of Noah Syndergaard-as-Thor bobbleheads. Advantage! And it's advantage they had better exploit, because going to their pen after five today means it's all hands on deck tomorrow. If that means bobblehands, so be it.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 If we're talking bobbleheads, then it's all hands on dick. Ya seen that hammer handle? Sheesh.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 AsCab is slated to become the 163rd third baseman in Mets history, the 34th since David Wright made his debut 13 years ago yesterday, the 84th since the count was immortalized in "79 Men on Third," the first to debut at the position for the franchise since T.J. Rivera last August 10.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 22, 2017 Author Posted July 22, 2017 Whoah, the curveball gets cracked into the black.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 This isn't so fun so far
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 Let's look on the bright side - it's pouring over my house right now. Maybe the storm will make it to Citi Field and rain this one out.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 Wow!! pouring here also... head east!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 22, 2017 Author Posted July 22, 2017 He's pitching on his heels. Terrified of the strike zone.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Matt Chapman may be a serious power prospect.6-0 A's
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 Cruising toward a clean inning and BOOM! Matt Chapman. It's a hard time to be a marginal pitcher.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 There's some sort of dirty boy's joke going on in the booth. Keith's mic has gone dead and you can hear muted laughter through Gary's.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 It was immediately following a visual shot of the bobblehead. Keith was calling for the camera crew to "show them the hammer too."
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 We sure have a lot of extry-base hits for a team being shut out.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 There we go! 'Bout time they broke through against this flinger.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Nice KABOOOMAGE there for Bruce. Maybe they can turn around this hammer-handle-punch of a game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 While it's raining, just keep hitting it to Davis.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Hit for the cycle this inning
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 Rivera is the only other righty on our stupid short bench, so it's Grandy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 Man, Grandy was running like a fridge was on his back.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 I'm not as confident as Keef that Conforto got in there. Not at all.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Another thrilling 2 minutes of replay
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 Inducing tappers to the mound is, like, Edgin's secret weapon. Two innings trying to get one run back. Doable!
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 And, Jose kills the rally by hitting into a DP.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 I guess the bunt would have been a decent play after all.
