Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 That was a thing of beauty.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I wasn't whistling past the graveyard there. I was at least 99% sure we were going to lose that game and was probably 50/50 at best when the inning started.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!Excuse, I havt to puke.LGM.
Guest cooby Guests Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I don't care if my cats and my grand cats (all told, 17 or 20 depending) had to do it, this game was a MUST WIN!! Who!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 2nd O-o-T-S interruption -- while we were busy [crossout:rysnda5d]celebrating[/crossout:rysnda5d] sweating out the Mets win, the Orioles were blowing a 9-1 6th inning lead in the Bronx, and eventually lost it 14-11 in the 10th.Buck's crew is missing their closer Zach Britton (although that certainly isn't their only problem) but I really think this is punishment for Buck for not using Britton in last year's Wild Card game when he should have.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 This was a good game and a had-to-have win...though, I also thought our goose was cooked in the ninth. It was nice to see some signs of life on offense. I have big-time worries about Familia right now. WTF?

Bases loaded, 0 out, the pitcher had just walked a run in, 1-0 count, my son says "he's got to take a strike". I said "yeah, but..." and then he hit into the DP. Pros think that they know when to swing but that was the time not to.There were 4 kids, about 10, yelling their lungs out for WSH all night, about 3 rows behind me. As a mature adult, I ignored them but as I walked up the ramp I felt like yelling "IN YOUR FACE, PUNKS!"Cute young lady near me wearing a Santana shirt with a bf in a Harper jersey. She was into the Mets, high-fiving other Mets fans. I felt like asking her why she was with that loser.I saw a guy in a Marlon Byrd Mets tee.I take back everything I've said about Edgin. Until next time.
