Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I bet we hear the word "butterflies" at least once during tonight's broadcast.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I just looked on betoneverything.bet and the O/U on 'butterflies' this evening is 2½... I'll take the over.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 This thread is three hours old, the game hasn't started yet, but Kong is killing it. Expect some Schaefer after the game, Kong.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 So, it looks like a straight Dudaflores platoon is starting to look like a thing.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 It was said on last nights telecast that Wilmer would go up against each LHP ahead but not necessarily at 1B. I would guess some other infielder gets a blow tomorrow night.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Yeah, I guess I'm just a little surprised it wasn't tonight.Boo has feelings. And he can pick up on patterns as well as anybody.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I'm surprised too. I was thinking that Walker or Reyes would sit tonight.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Jose just getting hot and Neil had two hits last night. Let As' rest his 'drubal tomorrow night, shift Reyes to short, Wilmer to third.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Whoa! Wheeler looking good in the 1st. Fastball hitting 97, slider sliding, curve ball curving. Got Dee Gordon to ground out and then K'd Ellis and Yelich.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Keith - "Tonight's the night you're going to want to break out the Danskin tights for the extra tall girl."Surprisingly, neither Gary nor Ron followed up on that.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I was a little worried about an appeal on the run that Curtis drove in. I wasn't at all sure that Asdrubal touched the plate.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 No reason the outfield should be deep enough for a Texas Leaguer to drop in off the bat of Gordon.

He learned from Bobby Bonds that tights under the uni was the key to playing in cold but few if any of them were made for men in those days.So if you're a 6' 2" athlete and go shopping for them you needed to scout out the ones for big and tall girls.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Keith must have headphones that totally block out whatever Gary says given the number of times he says something seconds after Gary does.GC: Phil Regan was also on the 1969 Cubs coaching staff"KH (10 seconds later): And I believe he was part of the ill-fated '69 Cubs team"
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Cool that something like half the highlights cited by Phil Regan were highlights he was on the wrong side of.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 "I had a kid who kid throw 100 miles an hour, but he's out of baseball. He said he sweat too much and couldn't grip the ball."I think I can guess who that was.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 80 pitches through four. I guess considering he hasn't pitched in over 900 days this isn't that bad. He seems to have picked up where he left off. Trying to nibble too much. The nibble dance.
