Who is... McGrath?

Check out this picture posted on the UMDB Facebook page this morning. It's a cartoon team drawing of the 1986 World Champs.

Anyone recognize the cartoonist "McGrath" from anywhere?

I can identify most of the players, but there are a few that I'm unsure of.

Three most disturbing parts of that illustration:

[list:19eue4yh]1. It depicts the team a moment before the stadium, or at least the lighting tower and top of the scoreboard, are destroyed by a passenger jet crash. Pull up, captain!

2. Mackey is sporting an axe. What. The. Fuck?

3. He's wielding that axe WHILE getting a handjob from Mookie Wilson.[/list:u:19eue4yh]

So I've got:

Back Row, Standing: H. Johnson, Magadan, Mazzilli, Darling, Cone with a conehead, Strawberry and Gooden with the X-Rays, Fernandez indulging his vegetable diet, Aase with the business card, Aguilera standing tall and rocking a mullet, Lyons doffing his cap.

Third Row, Seated on Benches and Squatting: Dykstra, Sasser, Wilson, Ojeda with the torn-up hand, Myers going commando, and Backman inexplicably climbing out of a coffin.

Second Row, Seated on Ground: McReynolds, Hernandez, D. Johnson, Carter, Elster.

Front Row, in Repose or Under Water: Jefferies, McDowell, I don't know (Miller? Carreon?).

I think in the stretch run of 1985, Wally Backman routinely gave quotes from day to day like "We're not buried yet" or "We may be in the coffin, but the lid isn't closed."

Even if I remember that rightly, I'm not sure it was that big a thing that it would be a way of identifying Backman three seasons later.
