Next in line is Keith with 468. Someone needs to alert the booth.

Gary'll mention it tonight.

With his 20th career pitching-credited win, Wheeler moves into a three-way tie with Don Cardwell and Bobby Parnell for 57th place among Mets pitchers.

More impressively, Terry Collins is now in sole possession of second place in the category of games managed by a Met skipper.

[list:tg5dq1op]1) Davey Johnson: 1,012
2) Terry Collins: 1,004
3) Bobby Valentine: 1,003
4) Joe Torre: 709
5) Gil Hodges: 649
6) Yogi Berra: 588
7) Casey Stengel: 582
8) Willie Randolph: 555
9) Dallas Green: 512
10) Jerry Manuel: 417[/list:u:tg5dq1op]
It seems like there hasn't been anybody else moving up this list in recent years, but I guess Johnson, Valentine, Torre, Randolph, and/or Manuel could still add to their totals. Dallas Green, alas, is in the clubhouse.

I didn't realize Ichiro had so many steals, too.

Jose has had two hits in the last 13 days. His assault on Ed Kranepool's second-place slot hasn't been very energetic.

Jacob deGrom takes home (or on the West Coast trip) the Mets' first NL Player of the Week Award for 2017, despite not having the advantage several of his predecessors had of facing the Mets the week he earned it.

Jose has narrowed the gap to six. Would like to believe he's past 1,418 when they come home in eleven days. Would also like to believe in bunnies for easter, fairies for teeth and Montero for sixth starter.

Unacknowledged is Ol' Luke catching Edgardo Alfonzo as the ninth-homeriest guy in Mets history.

1) Darryl Strawberry: 252

Extra-notable in that all of them have come in the Citi Field Era.

With the two homers, José also leapfrogs John Milner and visits the Bronx for a tie for 14th place all-time in homers. Twelfth is not out of reach this season.

I remember, when I first started paying attention to such things, Wayne Garrett was 10th in homers for the Mets, with 55. You now need 120 to get into the top ten. (It really shouldn't have taken 56 years for that to happen, should it?)

Basically, career offensive achievement didn't happen for the Mets until the eighties.

Not a lot of sustained pitching even. When Ed Lynch left the Mets, he was in their all-time top ten for victories.

This is probably a pretty rare thing, especially this late in the season:

Addison Reed, who hasn't started any games, is fifth on the Mets in innings pitched.

deGrom 97.0
Gsellman 76.0
Harvey 70.1
Wheeler 66.1
Reed 38.1

Matt Harvey (19th place), Jacob deGrom (25th place) and Noah Syndergaard (40th place) can expect to climb many slots on the all-time strikeout list.

STRIKEOUTS

Jacob deGrom has indeed moved up quite a bit on the strikeout list:

1. Tom Seaver 2541
2. Dwight Gooden 1875
3. Jerry Koosman 1799
4. Sid Fernandez 1449
5. David Cone 1172

22. Jesse Orosco 506
23. Mike Pelfrey 506
24. Oliver Perez 494
25. Nolan Ryan 493

And... Jose Reyes has finally passed Ed Kranepool to move into second place in hits.

1. David Wright 1777
2. Jose Reyes 1421
3. Ed Kranepool 1418

He's slowly advancing on the ever-idle David Wright, but time is not on his side.

Suzuki hasn't successfully stolen a base this season, so Reyes has a chance to finish the season as the active steals leader.
