Bob Klapisch tweeting that the Mets' famed pitcher has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. It apparently hasn't yet been determined if it is malignant.

Doesn't matter. A brain tumor is not a good thing.

So sorry to hear this. Keeping AY in my prayers.

Apparently he spilled the beans at Fantasy Camp. So he's active and stuff.

And that which is inoperable isn't necessarily un-radiatable.

Best wishes, AY.

I'm no doctor, but I suspect it does matter a lot. As bad as an inoperable benign brain tumor is, I would think that an inoperable malignant brain tumor is probably a lot worse.

(I hope I ordered my adjectives correctly.)

That's correct. D-Dad's grandmother had an inoperable but benign brain tumor for twenty years, and for the most part it didn't cause her too many problems.
