Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 This is the final poll of the second round, and also the final poll that will be posted until after the New Year. The Tabloid Cover Derby will return in early January with the third round, in which our field will be reduced from sixteen covers to eight.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 And I have a feeling that this particular poll is going to end up rather lopsided. Arguably the best moment of the season up against the worst.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 The Postseason logo in the Familia entry is a nice reminder of how far the Mets got, at least. The Daily News shoving its N.Y.'s #1 claim in the midst of all that is busy/bizarre. Didn't actually need either of them.A shame those seats behind Asdrubal are mostly empty.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 It's early yet, but this may turn out to be our first unanimous poll. Last year we had three polls where there was a lone dissenter:In Round 2, U DA MAN! defeated HARV DAY'S NIGHT 15 to 1 and CON4TO! defeated AMAZIN' MATZ 14 to 1. And in Round 3, TEAM OF DESTINY defeated METS TAKE A HIT 11 to 1.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 And we do, in fact, have our first unanimous decision. The last remaining Jeurys Familia cover is out of the competition, as Newsday's 11th HEAVEN moves to the third round. It's one of five Newsday covers still in the game.
