batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Here's a quiz question I just came up with after reading a baseball related article. A "fact" in that article inspired this quiz, although I think that the underlying "fact" I'm relying upon is incorrect. Explanations to follow, But first this quiz which is probably correct even if the aforementioned "fact" might not be.Who are the only two Mets who were teammates of Willie Mays and Hank Aaron? To win this quiz, you have to correctly identify the two Mets in the same post.

I was thinking of Millan and George Stone. Beauchamp also qualifies. The article I'm referring to is a piece about George Stone. The article states that Stone was one of only three players to have played with Mays and Aaron. Which just can't be right. Maybe Stone was one of only three Mets to have teamed with Mays and Aaron.Anyway, here's the piece:http://www.uticaod.com/blogs/20161127/stone-relishes-time-with-mets--73-world-seriesLotsa stuff on the Seaver/Stone '73 WS decision.
