Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 The annual poll in which you pick the two teams out of ten that you want to meet in this year's World Series. I'm making the assumption that everyone here wants the Mets to win the National League pennant, so you only have to select your preferred American League opponent. There is a prediction poll for the teams you actually predict will play in the World Series.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 1. Os2. seriously, I just used a racist word when I really meant "Guardians"3. Jays4. Red Sox5. Rangers
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I think Texas is the easiest opponent, followed by the Jays, Os, Indians, Red Sox.In terms of teams I'd want to see just from a 'fun' standpoint, Sox, Jays, Indians, Os, Rangers.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Red Sox, it's time to beat them again.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Mets by acclamation, once the junior circuit realizes what it's up against.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Texas. Good friend of mine in Abilene and we've agreed to make it to a game one way or another.
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Seems like the Orioles are running away with this. A 1969 reunion has it's appeal. I picked Baltimore because I don't want the Mets to have to travel too far (thus no Texas) or play on turf (thus no Toronto) and I like the Red Sox too much to watch them lose to the Mets again. I suppose Cleveland would be acceptable as well.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I'm still angry at the Indians and Marlins for playing the most boring World Series in history.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I voted Indians. I like that they're one of the old-school franchises and that the Mets haven't played them in a World Series. This has nothing to do with the players, or how they'd match up with the Mets. I have no idea. I don't think I can name a single Cleveland Indian.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 You'd know more about that than I would!I don't think I can name any of the married Indians either.
