He might mix in nicely with Conforto or Nimmo if need be.Just a thought.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 deGrom with some uninspired pitching, the team playing uninspired baseball behind him. Not a good time to be uninspired. Gotta be concerned about deGrom. Dog day swoon and he heats up as the weather cools down? I hope so. We need de to be BIG, or average even. Keep us in ballgames. He was the 1st starting pitcher in Mets history to give up double figure hits in consecutive games?!?! That's hard to believe. No Record Breaker card for that unless deGrom calls and requests one.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I can think of no reason to expect that D'Arnaud would hit any better as an outfielder than he has as a catcher. I would hope the Mets would have far better options for a corner outfield spot than trying to convert D'Arnaud from catcher.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 The reasons for putting Travis in the outfield were to keep his bat in the lineup while also making room for Plawecki to play regularly.Neither of those reasons seem all that valid right now.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Plaw hitting .306 in Vegas, but I think the die is cast on him. AAAA prime.
