:) I see what I said.

As I said earlier, Jay Bruce is my main point getter in my fantasy league so hopefully he will help the Mets this season. After that, we will see what happens.
I like a guy to stick around a little; maybe he will do really well and like it here.

This is puzzling, given that we deliberately traded for a 2B in the last year of his contract to make room for Herrera in 2017. Herrera wasn't having an awful year in Vegas.

I don't think the team traded for a 2b in the last year of his contract to make room for Herrera in 2017. I think they did it to have second baseman in 2016. That it left the job open a year later (vs. a multi-year deal for Murphy) is part of the equation, but that's a calculation a team can make independently of who they have. Wilmer can be there next year. Cecchini, Reynolds, or somebody else. The system is healthy up the middle.

Does this mean you have to re-sign Walker in the post-season?

FUCK MAN WE SHOULDA JUST KEPT MURPHY.

Um, yeah. Would have been worth considering.

Met lifer, who-- more importantly-- seemed to have turned a corner offensively and was priced somewhat affordably... only the plan was to go with Dilson, so Murph was allowed to walk. Hell, we jumped for other options specifically because they wouldn't tie up second-- Zobrist OR Walker-- or too long, lest we blocked Dilson.

And now we blow that up for a marginal improvement, at best? Alderson had never seemed reactive or jumpy to me, but, frankly, this REEKS of panic-move.

Hererra may have been first in line to succeed Walker/Muffy but that doesn't mean he was ever the only heir. Maybe I'm too optimistic of the system but I'm taking their willingness to part with him as an endorsement of Cecchini as the new Matthew Crawley.

Well, I think it's injuries to three right-handed center fielders in about a week that has left us with too many left-handed outfielders (and no good choice in CF).

The shortage of infielders is a byproduct of roster choices, and it's pretty much been taken care of by swapping Nimmo out for Kellybean.

Just replaced Jay Bruce with Andrew McCutchin in my fantasy lineup. That is significant, because McCutchin is having a terrible year and I have him on my bench most of the time.
