Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I don't understand the first-pitch swinging when you're trying to get out of a hole in the eighth inning.Them's not the building blocks of comebacks.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Three more outs, this half inning is on mute.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Those fedoras I see in the stands have nothing on the bucket-hat giveaway earlier this season.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 And to cap it off it starts pouring w/2 out in the 9th.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Get a split tomorrow, series means nothing. (sorta)
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 DeAza, I've come to pity you.Lost. Kinda peeved. A bad comedown after that ecstatic game to open the series.I have to update this. Did they mention his current totals vs. our guyz? (they just did his overall)Anyone have this info?

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 After the high of Thursday night's game, the Mets lose 2 games (plus Harvey for the year plus Noah and Cespedes for an undetermined time) and now face a must-game on Sunday if they want to stay competitive in the division. If they lose, the division is doubtful and their best hope is a Wild Card spot. They are currently a WC team but that means staying ahead of Miami, Pittsburgh and St. Louis and then (as of now) travelling to LA and facing Kershaw. Better to win the division which means that Matz needs to step it up on Sunday so the Mets go into the break 4 out instead of 6.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I never suggest reading The New York Post but the front AND back covers are a double-shot of suckiness.
