MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 It stands for Big Friendly Giant. Its a mixed live actor and animation film based on a story by Roald Dahl and directed by Stephen Spielberg. Its about a young girl taken from an orphanage in England by the BFG, to his land where nine evil giants live.Wifey and I took our five year old grandson (or was it the other way around?) to see it yesterday. When we left the theater, my grandson said "That was pretty good" and we agreed. It was a little too long, and he got a bit antsy in the middle of the film, but then regained interest in the movie to the end. This morning a thought hit me. The BFG looked a bit like Lindsay Nelson and used some words like Ralph Kiner might have. (RIP)Later
