Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I challenge you to put down what you think my 2016 season will look like, because everything about me confounds expectations. I'm old. I'm portly. I learned a new skill in my forties. I was signed with the idea that I'll last until I don't and then be tossed over, but I doggedly stuck around through the course of my contract. If I pitch stinky for a few weeks and look like I'm done, I turn a corner, like, EVERY TIME.And now I got a new contract, and I was offered more than one. If it was anybody else, you'd say I was due to retire before breaking camp. But it's not. It's me. What's 2016 gonna look like for me?[fimg=500:1xngkh4f]http://m.mlb.com/assets/images/8/2/2/147674822/cuts/colon1280_bxnkbu76_vb9hufgi.jpg[/fimg:1xngkh4f]
Guest cooby classic Guests Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Bartolo, you will have a good year. Not your best, but not too shabby. We fans will love you because, as we age, we need more heroes that hang in there.God bless you darling
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 9-8, 4.10, lotsa laffs. Moves to the pen without complaint and excels when Zach takes off the training Wheels.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 10-9, 4.25 ERA, 10 "holds" after he moves to the bullpen when Wheeler arrives mid year, and at least one game-winning RBI. And lots of jerseys sold with his name on the back. He is one popular dude.Later

He'll get hammered a little in July, a few weeks after moving to the pen; but, yeah, he'll right the ship by August. Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 .500 pitcher with 1-2 of the losses not his fault (no run-support or errors).Traded in July, and we all feel a little less complete without Unclebart onthe team for our playoff run.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Fear not, coobs... my Unclebart gets traded predictions have come andgone like a half dozen times already!

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Is Bartolo Colon the Best 43-Year-Old Pitcher of All Time?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 25, 2017 Author Posted January 25, 2017 Among all the statements of respect in this thread, nobody respected Colón enough to predect the magnitude of the season he had I think the closest we come is some combination of cooby, LeiterWagner, and Ashie. But even then, we're not particularly close to the season he had.PosterWLWIN%HdERAGGSIPSOBBHRWHIPHGWRBICharacterizationcooby>0A good year.
