Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Seems like a lot of guys in the Mets farm-system are getting busted.I realize my exposure is skewed because I only pay attention to Mets-related news, but I would guess this is more than normal.

Until we're sure the game is 99+% clean (i.e. never) I would rather Mets players be doing whatever they can to get an edge.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Also minor league baseball players are criminally underpaid, do what you need to do to make it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 Or organize and lobby for a fair and equitable wage. The idea that minor leaguers are underpaid, so they need to spend what little they have on illegal and dangerous pharmaceuticals, is risible. It's just another level of exploitation.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Sammy Sosa for commish! Just do what it takes, man!!
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Actually, why wait until players hit the minors for them to juice up? If better juicing techniques were available to high school players, the Metswould get better draft picks!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 I'm under no illusions that promising HS/college players are all very juicy.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Are or aren't, doesn't matter. Rooting for it is another ball of wax.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 someone needs to tell them to take better drugs. They don't need to take better drugs; they need to take drugs better.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 Well, Bernard and José Martinez, who I forgot to list above, have both been released, making the Mets something like 40% less druggy.
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Remember when Mets' prospects smoked pot? At least this is a step in a competitive direction.
