Has anybody seen it yet?

There have been four motion pictures and dozens of TV specials, mostly created by Charles Schulz and his handpicked partners, it seems a little ambitious to title it The Peanuts Movie, no?

Pat Zachry! And from a bidness standpoint, it would have implied a first step in relaunching the franchise, instead of the just, "Peanuts movie, done. No need to open THAT box again."

Sigh.

But has anyone gone to see it?

I have not.

But I am prepared to offer a favorable critique of Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown. Or, as we called it in the day, Genus Enim Animarum Vestrarum, Carolus Fuscus.

Sight unseen I think that you should take your granddaughter to see the film.

I like that one. I have to admit there a couple of the longer features I don't like much, but that one I do.

Still thinking about this modern one. The trailor looks cute!

N

I totally agree. Saw this yesterday and the very first and last scenes morph from line drawings to cgi and vice versa respectively, and it's so obvious which is better I'm surprised they left it in there to remind anyone.

Movie itself not very funny but kind of sweet like Peanuts are. Almost all the laughs they go for come from older works -- Lucy getting freaked out by a dog kiss etc. Pretty bleh overall.
