Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 There have been four motion pictures and dozens of TV specials, mostly created by Charles Schulz and his handpicked partners, it seems a little ambitious to title it The Peanuts Movie, no?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 True. It would have been better, I think, to give it a more traditional name like, It's Whatever Happens In This Movie, Charlie Brown
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Pat Zachry! And from a bidness standpoint, it would have implied a first step in relaunching the franchise, instead of the just, "Peanuts movie, done. No need to open THAT box again."
Guest cooby classic Guests Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Sigh. But has anyone gone to see it?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I have not.But I am prepared to offer a favorable critique of Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown. Or, as we called it in the day, Genus Enim Animarum Vestrarum, Carolus Fuscus.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Sight unseen I think that you should take your granddaughter to see the film.
Guest cooby classic Guests Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Well actually Kevin and I were thinking of going...

Guest cooby classic Guests Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I like that one. I have to admit there a couple of the longer features I don't like much, but that one I do.Still thinking about this modern one. The trailor looks cute!

Saw this yesterday and the very first and last scenes morph from line drawings to cgi and vice versa respectively, and it's so obvious which is better I'm surprised they left it in there to remind anyone.Movie itself not very funny but kind of sweet like Peanuts are. Almost all the laughs they go for come from older works -- Lucy getting freaked out by a dog kiss etc. Pretty bleh overall.
