Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Watching the post-game. So clear he was actively rooting for the Mets.Blasted the umps last Saturday. Called out Utley for a dirty play.Rooted actively for the Mets tonight. Still love Pedro.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Best line, talking about Syndergaard coming in, referencing the first Dodger batter: "100 for you!"
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Basically calling Greinke an imbecile. I agree.
Guest cooby Guests Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I love him too! Red suit and pink tie and all!

I agree. Why I missed that part? Not in exactly those words, but he said he only saw Greinke make one mistake. He pointed to his head when stating he made a mistake pitching inside to Murphy. Essentially, Murphy was the hottest hitter in the Mets line up and you can't let him beat you with one swing. Greinke had already thrown a fastball that missed inside and Murphy didn't even flinch, he just "tracked it" with his eyes. The only thing he is going to hit out is a fastball on the inner half. It was a mistake to try going inside on Murphy.Personally, I'm ecstatic that Greinke tried to get the fastball in on him.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I rarely watch these type of post-game shows, but I did turn to this one for a bit and it was pretty good. Everyone there had some good points to make (not just the usual empty cliches) even Sheffield who has never exactly struck me as a Wile E. Coyote level super genius.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'm pretty sure they're all drunk right now. They've been taking about chameleons for, like, two minutes.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Grienke was throwing out of the stretch for the last two pitches against Murphy?!
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 The theory at the MLB Network was that Grienke was basically terrified of Murphy at that point. They also credited Ronnie for noticing.
