1. I don't think a lefty is really necessary in a starting rotation.

1. Personally, I agree. But someone familiar with the Mets thinking might be thinking otherwise.
2. I will never forget Mr. Matz. But Matz for Niese in the rotation? I'll believe that when I see it.


I figure short of an amputation Niese is in. But we do have all of Sept and I could be severely wrong.
