MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 The much anticipated "Big One" strikes the West Coast. The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) is an L.A. emergency worker trying to save his family during a 9.6 earthquake and resultant tsunami that hits California along the San Andreas Fault. There have been similar stories in made-for-TV movies on the Sci-Fi Channel. But this one has a better script, much bigger special effects budget, and, believe it or not, better acting. (OK, that last one's not too hard.)Personally, I would rather have seen it totally devastate Chavez Ravine where they took the team I used to root for. But most of the movie takes place in San Francisco, so seeing it hit ATT Park was partial solace.Later
