2 on, nobody out.

So... lineout double play forthcoming?

I don't think I can take another DP. I'll be okay with a triple play. That would be interesting.

Ahmed does cover some ground; against us, that Lagares grounder's through for an RBI single, instead of nearly going for the DP.

Plawecki pounds one. Wow, that CF area sucks. had no idea what was going on there. 2-RBI double for the kid.
2-1 METS

Now Harvey with the hit.

The kid Leone's got a get-me-out-of-here glare in his eye.

Criminy, this 'Zona outfield is looking Lagaresian tonight. This game could easily be 6- or 7-1 by now.

Tejeda's sac fly was ripped to deep center. OHH, and Pollack robs Campbell! How the hell did he get his glove on that. That's a Laggy catch.

Why do you suppose the D'Backs are having a Tony LaRussa bobblehead give-away? (acc to the sign behind home plate).

Duh, because he's running the team now.
I totally forgot about that.

Anyone notice the folks in the dugout-like seats behind the plate? ... Not ONE OF THEM is watching the game.

I did notice that earlier. And I looked hard and saw one older guy really paying attention. Hey, everyone looks like they are having fun and these road crowds seem to generate more noise than at home (could be mic placement I guess). But I'd be more like the old guy, hanging on every pitch.

I expect Goldshit to do damage so I'll let that sliiiiide.

Hey, Ollie sighting.

Cripes. A got a card for that Ollie playoff game somewhere. Watch him blank us.

Ollie = tough assignment for Duda.

He's turning all the way around, a la Luis Tiant. I don't quite remember his act that way when he was a Met.

I swear his delivery's gotten even quirkier-- by at least half-- since he left us.

Just get us to Mayberry, Flowers.

So, what's the count? Harvey's done, right?

If I was Harvey I would not want to come out, and if I was the manager I'd ask Harvey if he has more in the tank.

Up to 106 pitches.

He's done. He's shaking hands. I hope that's the right decision Mattman.

I understand the closers role and how these days it's a give in he gets the 9th, but if I was a starter I would never want to use the bridge if I didn't need to.

Mayberry smacks a double to deep left center. Yea, insurance would be nice.

Lagares has two hits tonight w/Mayberry on 2nd but neither one can get him in.

That last one was a high chopper to third, to be fair. But they could bunt, double steal, anything but a DP,please.

STOP FUCKING BUNTING

With Grandy pinch hitting next, had to bunt there.
IMO.

Or not.

Reed turns and throws a mini-fit after that gets through the infield. All in all, these Diamondback relievers have the mound composure of a coke-addicted, shellshocked worker ant.

What's the record for popped-up bunts in one season do you suppose?
Seems like this team's gotta be working on a dozen already this year.
