Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2015 Author Posted June 29, 2015 Twenty plate appearances and a slash line of .421 / .476 / .947 // 1.424? Either Barry Bonds is back or that's Pacific Coast League Player of the Week Anthony Recker.Look at the bat boy. Can barely control himself.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Not for nothing but Niuewenhuis is destroying it out there too. His vulnerability to the radical slump is no help to his career as a reserve but when he's hot, he's the one you want.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 He was actually one point above Duda in slugging percentage. But yeah, irregular work does not seem to serve him.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 Gabriel Ynoa named Florida State League Pitcher o' the Week. Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 Your Pacific Coast League PotW is Las Vegas 51s twirler Darin Gorski. Darin got only one start, but struck out 10 in six innings while allowing only a single un-earned run. He previously earned PotW honors once with Binghamton back in 2013.This run of success in the midst of an up-and-down season comes at a good time for Darin Gorski, following the Steven Matz injury, as the Mets may be choosing from among several pitchers should they return to the six-man rotation after the All-Star Break, and he's thrown his hat into ring alongside those of Logan Verrett, Matthew Bowman, Dillon Gee, and maybe Matz himself.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Following up on two Florida State League League PotW honors already this season, your Eastern League PotW is Michael Conforto.
dgwphotography Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Conforto went 1-3 tonight in New Britain, with a 2b, RBI and run scored. He hit two other bombs that the CF made running catches on - even his outs were hammered....and he signed autographs before the game...
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 DGW, may I use these photos for my project? I had no plans on a Conforto card but these pictures are great. They are calling to me..~make me a card~.

There was a definite sense last night that the Rock Cats are just going through the motions since they are moving to a new stadium in Hartford next season. I have never seen such a sparse crowd in New Britain, and at least half the fans were wearing Mets regalia.
