Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I hear Matt Harvey is pitching tonight.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I'm curious to see how many fannies Harvelous puts inthe seats on what is traditionally a very small gate. Gonnabe relatively mild this evening for an April game with light wind.

They released the 'expected attendance' in the press box, so we should get those reports with the game notes/lineup later.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Reasonable weather.How about 32,789.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 The Mets are currently (as of 12:30 PM EDT) offering only 1402 remaining seats for sale for tonight. I don't know how they count the luxury suites and group sales areas in attendance, but unless they're playing games with ticket availability, the paid attendance should exceed 40k.

I don't know when/if dynamic pricing kicks in, but it doesn't seem to have been too fierce.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Wow, coupla Harvelous starts and they won't have to do thesupposedly much needed Gee salary dump to stay afloat!

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Same cast of characters as last night for the Phillies - although in a slightly different order with Ben Revere moved downThis will be David Buchanan's 4th start vs the Mets (all in his rookie year of 2014). He's 0-2 plus an ND although it's not like NYM bats have totally smacked him around.5/29/14 - 4 run on 7 hits in 6.2 IP8/11 - 3 run on 4 hits in 6.08/29 - 1 Run on just 4 hits over 6.0 (ND) He did have a rough go of it in his one start this season vs Boston: 6 runs on 7 hits over 3 IP
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Jerry not going for the title of Boundless Blevins, announced as unavailable for today, and while it may be prudent to hold him out, it strikes me as strategically unsound to report a soldier down before the battle.I probably shouldn't have even posted this. Hey, Ryne Sandberg, I'm kidding.

"For me, they've been great. They've always been extremely supportive and very uplifting for me. We're all excited to be home, and I'm specifically excited to pitch." Harvey's season debut was a sparkling reminder of his immense potential, as he limited Washington to four hits in six scoreless innings, racking up nine strikeouts in a 6-3 victory. Another one of the Mets' young pitchers shined on Monday as Jacob deGrom tossed 6 1/3 strong innings in a 2-0 victory to kick off the series. Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 How can such a cocky guy look so terrified when he's sent up there to bunt?
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I believe Cuddyer just broke his wrist. Possibly Flores also.EAT EM UP HARVEY.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Losing Cuddyer for these next 8 weeks is really gonna suck.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 There's no way that's not broken
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Lots of Mayberry in LF if Cuddyer is hurt. Nowhere else to play Mayberry as Duda crushes lefties.
