I've culled these together from reports and the team's websites. I think they're pretty close to final. I want to hug Backman (or somebody) if they're really thinking of opening with an 11-man staff in Las Vegas.

Looks like Vegas (featuring many members of the Eastern league champ 2014 Binghamton Mets) is the team to watch if you want to see pitching prospects, but St. Lucie's pretty stacked with position-playing prospects, and a handful of pitchers-to-watch also.

Puello got his waivers reversed when he demonstrated that he was injured before being waived. He's now residing on the MLB 15-Day DL.

Opening Day Pitchers:

Matz gives up one run in a brief 5 1/3 innings, but Rock Vegas loses 2-1 after John Church coughs a run up in the seventh.

Binghamton was down 1-0 after four, and then the dam broke, with the defending champs falling 14-5 to Akron.

St. Lucie fared better, pounding out 18 hits in their 7-2 victory over Bradenton. Three hits each for Rosario and Urena, and everybody in the lineup hit safely at least once, and so nobody has to look up at the scoreboard and see triple zeros today. There could be a lot of hittin' for FSL Mets this year.

Savannah was up 5-3 before going down in extras 7-6 to West Virginia. Big hit was three-run homer by Wuilmer Becerra.

Savannah Manager Jos� Leger is only 32 and looks about 25.

It�s possibly the last season for the Sand Gnats, whose owners are considering moving the team. The city of Savannah has declined to build a new stadium, and the Gnats� contract to play at Grayson Stadium expires at the end of the season.

It's his forth season in Savannah. His first DSL managership started when he was 28.
