Terry Collins, by dipping his toes into his fifth season as Mets manager has moved ahead of Gil Hodges and into fourth place for number of Mets games managed:

Davey Johnson 1012
Bobby Valentine 1003
Joe Torre 709
Terry Collins 656
Gil Hodges 649
Yogi Berra 588

Familia is 8 for 8 in saves in the 13 wins. That's pretty amazin.

13 total for 20th all time, tied with LaTroy Hawkins and Doug Henry. Next up is Anthony Young (!!) with 18.

30 for the season would put him at 35 total good for 13th place. Parnell is 12th with 36. What happens when Parnell comes back anyway? It's a nice problem to have.

Daniel Murphy joins the 200 doubles club. As you can see below, he has a chance to leapfrog some serious names.

Doubles in a Metly Career

1) David Wright: 375*
Daniel Murphy projected to end of season: 232.63
2) Ed Kranepool: 225
3) Jos Reyes: 222
4) Howard Johnson: 214
5) Edgardo Alfonzo: 212
6) Carlos Beltran: 208
7) Daniel Murphy: 200
8) Mike Piazza: 193
=#FF8000]Daniel Murphy at start of season: 190
9) Darryl Strawberry: 187
10) Cleon Jones: 182

*In eight games before getting hurt, David Wright hit exactly 0 doubles, which means, based on his 2015 rate, he is expected to have a doubles-free year.

Not very useful certainly, but he still has a chance to become the first Met with 400 doubles before the year is out.

Interesting.
Which pitcher has the team record for consecutive games with an RBI?
What is that number of games?

Most wins by a Mets pitcher. Jon Niese has moved into a three-way tie for 12th place, with Rick Reed and Craig Swan. Strange to think that Steve Trachsel is in the top ten. Niese needs eight more wins to knock Trachsel into 11th place.

[indent:16a66e88]...
1. Tom Seaver 198
2. Dwight Gooden 157
3. Jerry Koosman 140
4. Ron Darling 99
5. Sid Fernandez 98
6. Al Leiter 95
7. Jon Matlack 82
8. David Cone 81
9. Bobby Jones 74
10. Steve Trachsel 66
11. Tom Glavine 61
12. Rick Reed 59
12. Craig Swan 59
12. Jon Niese 59
15. Bob Ojeda 51
16. Mike Pelfrey 50[/indent:16a66e88]

On the strikeout list, Niese started the season only 1 behind Bobby Jones. He has a long way to go to get to the next slot, but if he can pass Jon Matlack he'll be getting into pretty elite company.

[indent:16a66e88]...
1. Tom Seaver 2541
2. Dwight Gooden 1875
3. Jerry Koosman 1799
4. Sid Fernandez 1449
5. David Cone 1172
6. Ron Darling 1148
7. Al Leiter 1106
8. Jon Matlack 1023
9. Jon Niese 804
10. Bobby Jones 714
11. Craig Swan 671
12. Tug McGraw 618
13. Johan Santana 607[/indent:16a66e88]

Also, if he returns to the Mets next year, Niese has a change to move up a few notches on the Innings Pitched list:

[indent:16a66e88]...
1. Tom Seaver 3045.2
2. Jerry Koosman 2544.2
3. Dwight Gooden 2169.2
4. Ron Darling 1620.0
5. Sid Fernandez 1584.2
6. Jon Matlack 1448.0
7. Al Leiter 1360.0
8. Craig Swan 1230.2
9. Bobby Jones 1215.2
10. David Cone 1209.1
11. Jon Niese 1027.0
12. Tom Glavine 1005.1[/indent:16a66e88]

Meanwhile, it looks like Daniel Murphy, in what's likely his final season as a Met has a chance to move past Keith Hernandez in hits, but would need to return in 2016 (or go on a hell of a tear, which would be very welcome) in order to become the tenth Met to reach 1,000 hits.

[indent:16a66e88]...
1. David Wright 1713
2. Ed Kranepool 1418
3. Jos Reyes 1300
4. Cleon Jones 1188
5. Edgardo Alfonzo 1136
6. Mookie Wilson 1112
7. Bud Harrelson 1029
8. Mike Piazza 1028
9. Darryl Strawberry 1025
10. Howard Johnson 997
11. Jerry Grote 994
12. Keith Hernandez 939
13. Daniel Murphy 920[/indent:16a66e88]

Murphy needs only one more double to break his fifth-place tie with Edgardo Alfonzo, and three more to claim fourth place all to his own. Is second place in reach for him? Maybe... Meanwhile, David Wright looks like he'll be at the top of this list for quite a while.

As the CPF 'Rankings' list was starting to come together probably the biggest single complaint early on was that Steve Trachsel was too high (currently in 56th place).
Yet there he is still Top-10 in wins despite being 13th in innings pitched and 14th in games started for a guy who pitched on mostly bad or mediocre teams.

Not that I'm making a case for his greatness or anything but I always thought he got far too much abuse for his time in Queens.

Trachsel went 15-8 with a 4.97 ERA in 2006. He then pulled a mini-Glavine and went

Single, (pickoff, if only Glavine had had this..), Walk, Single, foul popout, triple, walk, walk, K. end of inning. Home run, walk, single (off his thigh, the 'reason' he came out), walk, lifted from Mets forever.

Two more runs score on a Darren Oliver wild pitch and a groundout. 5 runs, the Mets don't score. He's up there with Wagner for reasons the Mets lost that series. If it wasn't for Beltran that might've put them down 3-0.

Even with time lost due to injury, I like Muh's chances to jump from ninth to second in doubles in a single season.

An interesting note I learned from an Effectively Wild podcast. Doubles are hard!

Earl Webb's record 67 was set in 1931 and no one has really gotten close. Plenty of people have been on pace into the second half, but it just never seems to happen. Todd Helton's 59 in 2000 was the only time in nearly 80 years that someone has even gotten within 10 of breaking that record.

Just a thought on the difficulty of hitting doubles throughout the season. Perhaps the warmer weather makes more doubles become home runs?

As if one single game was either the cause of, or the sole reason for, Mets fans dislike of Trachsel.
Not suggesting that he should up there among the most popular, only that I've long thought the degree of hate was disproportionate to how he performed here.

well I mention the crappy 2006 from start to finish as a reason why his win total (as if pitcher win totals mean much of anything) is not really cause for celebration. He stuck around for a while and pitched games and accumulated stats. Mostly inconsequential, bad, and slow games. He got demoted somewhere in there for basically sucking had some decent success after, but I think he gets the right amount of appreciation.

Started out poorly with the team as I recall, then flamed out badly in the '06 postseason. Makes it easy for some fans to forget that he was largely dependable in between (especially for a guy brought in to be a lower part of the rotation pitcher). Don't discount that sometimes watching him pitch was painful. He made watching AL East games seem fast.

Folks were largely predisposed to feed him before he ever took the field. When he stumbled out of the gate, that just confirmed folks pre- established view.

Lots of players like that.

If the team stays hot, Familia has a chance to break the team's single-season saves record.

Most Saves -- 43 Armando Benitez 2001

Familia has 31. If he gets two a week for the final seven weeks of the season...

Worth noting that we're already sitting on the saviest season by a home-grown Met, and possibly projecting toward the saviest season by a Met of any stripe.

Saves in a Season as a Metly, Metly Met

Jeurys Familia (2015) Projected to End of Season: 43.62
    1) Armando Benitez (2001): 43
    2) Armando Benitez (2000): 41
    3) Billy Wagner (2006): 40
    4) John Franco (1998): 38
    5) John Franco (1997): 36
    T6) Francisco Rodriguez (2009): 35
    T6) Jeurys Familia (2015): 35
    8) Billy Wagner (2007): 34
    T9) John Franco (1990): 33
    T9) Armando Benitez (2002): 33

The previous high in saves by a home-grown Met was Jesse Orosco to the extent that you claim Orosco as home-grown who had 31 with the 1984 Mets, while he was sharing closing duties with Doug Sisk. The previous high by a purely home-grown player was Jenrry Mejia's 28 last year. And that ain't looking so pure any more.

Still, this team has hired mercenaries to finish their games for far too long.

Mets need go 165 the rest of the way to get Terry Collins to 400 wins as a skipper on the high Met seas. He is also on the verge of passing Joe Frazier in the win percentage column. And maybe his antecedent Jerry Manuel too if he hits that 400 mark.
