Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I'm Cesar Puello and nobody, but nobody, hits Eastern League pitching while juiced to the eyeballs as I do. Is that the last chapter in my story? Well, I hope not, and you should hope not too. I WAS JUST A KID!!!OK, I was a kid so loaded with illegal pharmaceuticals that my head seemed photoshopped onto my massive WWF torso, but you don't know what it's like to be me! The pressure I'm under! My old man won't accept anything but the best!Anyhow, there are indeed still chapters to be written. I'm writing one of them right now. I was added to the roster the same day as Juan Lagares back when and he's entering his third season as the Mets center fielder and I'm trying to keep a starting job in Las Vegas, but still I keep writing, hitting .313 / .389 / .313 // .701 in St. Lucie. What do you see in my immediate future?
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 'Tis a quandary, because I think he may be out of options. He may have the best five "tools" of any of their outfield prospects. He has gone though an entire season under heavy testing scrutiny. If they have to send him down, I hope he passes through waivers, the Mets re-sign him and he can finally put it all together. If that can happen, ETA 2016.Some 2014 numbers:http://www.amazinavenue.com/2015/2/27/8123141/cesar-puellos-improvements-during-the-2014-seasonLater

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 Still eligible to be used as an analogy.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 This team's pretty set bench-wise, so I don't think Puello has a chance unless he hits .500 the rest of ST with 6 HR's (or if there's an outfield injury or two). They'll try to send him down and he'll get snagged by another team. He'd have to dislodge one of the following:CampbellTejadaMayberryNieuwenhuisReckerDon't see it happening. It'd be a shame to lose him, but it'll be hard to keep him.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 He needs to make the team or he has to pass through waivers?I mean, he'll probably have to pass through anyway when they try to add Rice or somebody to the roster a few weeks into the season, but are they really in a use-him-or-waive him situation now?
