Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I figured out a way to make sure the Mets make the playoffs this year. Double the schedule to play 324 games. Double-header every day. Pitching staff and catching staff is allowed to double. Everyone else sacks up and plays 2. 10 Man Rotation:1. Harvey2. deGrom3. Niese4. Wheeler5. Gee6. Colon7. Montero8. Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 It's kinda scary that you could go 10 deep with the pitching staff. Good scary.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 The team's pitching staff is deep enough that one might be tempted to say the backup unit alone would look like an average major league staff. One wouldn't be able to harbor for long such illusion with regard to the reserve batsmen, though. A decidedly not-ready-for-primetime-lookin' unit.RotationRotationHarveyGeedeGromMonteroWheelerSyndergardNeiseMatzColonGorskiBullpenBullpenMejiaThorntonFamilaCarlyleEdginAlvarezBlackPillGilmartinLeathersichGoeddelSatterwhiteTorresMazzoniCatcherCatcherd'ArnaudPlaweckiReckerMonellInfieldInfieldDudaAllenMurphyHerreraWrightMunoFloresReynoldsCampbellCecchiniTejadaTovarOutfieldOutfieldGrandersonNimmoLagaresden DekkerCuddyerPuelloMayberryVaughnNiewenhuisCasetllanos
