Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Career disaster for Francis Ford Coppola and probably a strong knife in the heart of the film musical genre.Yet, I am curious. Should I go away somewhere and sit quietly until that curiosity passes?
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 i haven't seen it since its initial release, but i remember it fondly, for whatever that's worth. Guest sharpie Guests Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I spent a few hours in 1982 at Zoetrope Studios among the amazing sets for that movie. I like the music a lot but the movie, which I saw not long ago, while it has its moments, just doesn't work. As Vic says, not a disaster aesthetically but it can't keep up with what it was trying to do.
