Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I hate stories like this.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Yes, those words do appear with the caveat that there's no indication that this is anything like that.Bone chips & TJ surgery are two very different things.Meanwhile, the list of folks being shut down for the season prior to its natural end keeps rising.Wrightd'ArnaudLagaresHerreradeGromEvelandBlackand those are just the ones who were active when September began
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Once you start playing the shutdown card, it's hard to stop doing it.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Well, except for deGrom, every one of the others is a legit injury (of varying degrees).

Tests taken this week showed no more serious damage to d'Arnaud's elbow, and the procedure shouldn't affect his offseason routine or his 2015 season.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Even comes with the built in excuse (joining Wright, Parnell, ) as having being an excuse for certain poor performances. Throwing in this case.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 That's why I wondered back in yesterday's IGT if we were going to have enough players to field a squad today.Ordinarily in September/October games that's not a problem

Really? HBP?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Satin has hand fracture, unavailableSeptember, 28, 2014NEW YORK -- Josh Satin's season will end watching from the dugout. Satin hurt his right hand, near the wrist, when he was hit by a pitch at Cincinnati on Sept. 5. With the issue nagging, Satin recently decided to undergo an X-ray and MRI. That revealed a fracture.
