Confused why a righty is facing Utley here. Tying run at the plate.

Cuz Eveland isn't available and Utley has 2 HRs off of Edgin including a recent GS.

That E by Wilmer really screws things up (not that the three hits which followed were damaging too)
- But Black was about to get out of the 7th with a low pitch count (got the first 2 outs on 3 pitches) so Terry either could have either hung with him for the 8th or went to Edgin for the LHBs in the middle of the order
- Now, with Familia not available today, he's got to find an 8th inning bridge to Mejia

Assuming Mejia can answer the bell.

Murph's Rod Carew act is fun, but he's got to pull a ball or two per series to keep teams honest.

No insurance. DAMMIT, RYERSON!!

I'd like to thank Ryne Sandberg for sending lefties up for the first two batters while Ruiz and Byrd cool their heels on the bench.

Nice work by Edgin

Super-nice.

Meanwhile, this has to be the first-ever two-hit game for den Dekker.

Would like to see Ruben out there in the ninth, but I don't think that's part of the plan.

Mejia has given up hits to 40% of the batters he's faced lately: 12 hits in (including Revere & Rollins) his last 30 hitters faced over 6 outings.

Phils views make it look like it was a fair ball. SNY?
SNY didn't have a good angle. They are likely using the cameras to find more ex-Phillies to interview.

And now we can expand that list to his last 13 outings where he's blown three saves, lost twice, and had a clean 1-2-3 inning just twice.
This all goes back to pre-ASB that the bad outings have vastly outnumbered the good.

Nice ass rarely gets sucked in a baseball sense.

First thing to make me laugh since this game ended.

Ugh, how do we let the Phils do that to us? That's a dead team walking. And another walk off loss. Pretty shitty.

I dunno, but it seems like this team has had more than its share of nut-punch losses since, say, mid-2007. And a fair amount of THOSE have been to these Phillies.

Just when it seems like they're turning a corner, WHAM! NUTPUNCH!!!!!

Probably not the best choice of words.

Your meaning was clear. The sucking shone through.
