Imagining Topps photog traveling day and night to this camp or that, only to be told when he asks for "Davis" -- the last man on his git-list -- "You mean Tommy? Oh, you just missed him. He was traded to..." And inevitably if the scene took place in Florida, Tommy was training in Arizona -- and vice-versa.

"Ah screw it," the photographer thought. "I'll tell them he was sick that day and they should use that picture from Vero Beach again."
