Hmmm. Abreu doubles, Abreu scores. I still don't want him starting.

Why not, he's our best hitter AND our best runner right now.

But if you really don't want him starting anymore, tell any one of the three injured OFs to get themselves healthy. Or tell den Dekker that it's OK to actually get a hit in this league.
The record says that MdD already has a couple of hits but I certainly don't remember any.

I'm sucked into the tied do-or-die hockey
game. Everytime I switch back to SNY it's a
commercial.

Ooh. Spooky.

(Judging from what I've seen of both tonight... if you want excitement, you're camping on the wrong station.)

Haven't seen it but what I find most impressive is him scoring from 1st on the Duda double, if what I'm reading is correct.

Just watched it. It was 2 out, the guy dived, but still, good job there. Hey, if he can still do shit like that I might change my mind. But only if we can stay within 5 or 6 games of first.

Abreu's first 4 hit game since 2011. lol. Okay, it was good he started tonight. But not yesterday or tomorrow.

OE: sorry, hockey has my eye.

I'm not a puck head, but there is really nothing more
exciting in sports than an overtime sudden death game
when one team is on the ropes.

Mets still winning.

Two thirds of a perfect game after a two-hour delay pitched by a 41-year-old bartender --- that's something, there.

A couple of years ago, during an Islanders game, Howie Rose was discussing his distaste for hockey shootouts, and missing the days, "when men were men and games could end in ties."

Overtime playoff hockey is as good as it gets!

For all the marbles.

The only way a hockey IGT would work is if we only posted during breaks. You can't take you eyes off hockey, esp like this. The cups all polished up...

but it ain't coming out tonight. Hope not anyways.

Just like the Kentucky Derby, watching Abreu going from 1st to home is the most exciting two minutes in sports.

It's deeply strange to turn to the Mets game to calm my late-night sports agita.

lol. Actually when the camera cut to him I expected him to be rounding second and he was well on to third. He was movin'.

What's Abreu still out there for? He should have been elected to walk Colon to the clubhouse.

No logical choice really to replace him with. Campbell is the only option at this point.
I'll risk a 4-run lead with the old man out there.
Gotta get some OFers healthy. EYJ probably back on Monday. Lagares still maybe two weeks away.

if you noticed any sloppy camera work tonight on SNY, it's because at least the two camera men on the Excelsior first base side were flipping between the view of the field and the view of the Rangers game.
