Not 4 Nothing, but Flores looks great at the plate. He looks like he lost some baby fat from last year.

I could justify Recker bunting prior to the wild pitch (didn't LIKE it, but could justify it) but was totally against him trying to bunt Wilmer to 3rd.
We scored that inning despite the strategy, not because of it.

Crazy game. Will probably go 16 innings.

See, the bunt from second to third with no out is one of the situations I find it more favorable, to allow the guy the potential to score on a following out. With a pull-hitting whiffer like Recker, I like it a little more.

And then I saw his form, and liked it much less.

Why did Curtis run home there?

Was watching the first three innings or so on the radio while killing some errands/getting YoungerPooper abed.

Jeez Alou, guys-- nobody thought the diving Puig grab on Flores' 2nd-inning liner bore noting? Ex-underwear-model neurosurgeons who can cook don't make finer catches.

Been thinking this over.

Extended Cab Chevy trucks
Muffy
Duda
Wheeler
Gee
Niese
Parnell

Luxury SUVs
Wright
Grandy
EYoung

Escalades
Hovvey
CYoung
Colon

Classic American Luxury (Buick, Lincoln Cadillac)
Collins

Foreign Sportscars

Valverde

Nondescript rentals, Chevy Malibu or greater
Geren
Tuefel

I'm guessing Valverde drives that thing.

That has to be Valverde's, doesn't it? (Though I could see Colon owning that bit of nastiness, it seems like it wouldn't be... a, um, comfy fit.)

If Swoboda's catch married Agee's second catch, their offspring would grow up to be Puig's catch.

After the weird infield-fly double play, as SNY was going to a commercial, they showed a clip of Daniel Murphy shouting to Flores. You can easily read his lips: "Tag him! Tag him! Tag him! Tag him!"

Reminded me of my days coaching my daughter's softball team. "Step on the base! Step on the base!" Meanwhile the kid is looking at you dumbfounded, as if you're shouting "Split the atom! Split the atom!"

yeah Valverde sounds like a good pick.

I d'Arnaud if dunno is making the cash to splurge on something like that yet, but it's certainly possible it's another exec or something. I presume they can park in there too.

I thought I noted the catch. I probably did in another thread on accident.

The astounding part to me was the high-speed awareness to tuck the glove under just so, so as to neither lose the ball nor break the wrist.

Puig with an insane catch that should have broken his wrist, but he some how had the presence of mind to roll it out of harm.

This is young Sammy Sosa in all his crazy flower all over again.

There you go.

Was on the Bridge for that catch which was a great perspective because the ball was hit right at me and I could see both outfielders. As it was arcing down I definitely thought "yes! he's too far away!" and then suddenly he had it.

Other takeaway from that play was that if Flores keeps doing that Tejada's never going to start again.
