Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Mets take the early lead with an RBI hit from Centeno.Josh says Cen-TAY-no and Howie says Cen-TEN-oI'm with Lewin.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 And Ian Desi singlehandedly erases that lead.

He looks like a constant pain in the arse looming on the horizon.Oh, and while Collins is playing EYJ because he needs a leadoff hitter, Lagares is hitting .325 this season in the #1 spot in the order. Just sayin'.Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 RBI hit cuts it to 5-3, but Centeno displays little baserunning acumen.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 That commercial for corrections officers is pretty hard core.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Yeah, you wonder if they aren't recruiting people who want to avenge a crime.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 Wheeler with a so-so line. 89 pitches. 3ER. Only 2 walks. 6 Full, which we needed from him. We also need him to be better than this.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 TC looking extra short with the press today.I like it.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 I was gonna get all over Centenos case but I see he's driven in 2 runs today. Looks like he needs a rest though. Recker please.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 Whoa. Nice diving catch by Wright.Ugh, can't get the DP. 6-3.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 So Muffy cost us on the bases and Mr. T with the big bad error? Mets lose badly. Booooo.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Centeno gave up a big out on the bases also.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Centeno's dash was poorly timed and poorly thought out. The run was scoring anyway and the throw went towards 3rd and not home. There was simply little upside in trying to take that extra base. And even if there were he was out by about 18 feet. And that's at least twice that Muffy's been caught, not just at 3rd base, but straying off 3rd base after already reaching it. And again, where was HE going ... home from 2nd on an infield grounder? Bad Muffy, bad.
