Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Sheesh, could anybody have at least gotten close to that ball?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 BIG DP!Does Gee go 8? It looked like he was hitting that wall.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Sure got the double play working today.Find it hard to believe anybody could be cold watching Anthony Recker play live.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 He's looking better though, hopefully winter will be over soon.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Ugh. I hate this ball park! Or more so it's dimensions. The park itself is pretty sweet.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Whoever that 1st baseman is he sucks.Murphy reaches and steals 2nd.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I'm rooting for the complete game now. GO GEE!!!

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Nope, Gee won't last 9. Maybe not 8.OOh, big K. But like a dozen pitches there.GO GEE!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Gee getting the handshakes. Send him to the plate and then call him back.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Hit by Recker. Get those last three outs and my day is complete.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Great pitching by Gee.Great game called by Recker.Great defense from Wright.Great homer from Young. That was a pretty nice home-stand considering how woeful the offense has been so far this year.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Great win. Incredibly cold in the shade and not as though I wasn't dressed warm. Young home run was terrific; he must have fouled off a half dozen before it. Happened to notice the brand of urinals shared a name with today's opponent; it was great to piss all over KOHLER
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 * Nats lost today (split 4 this weekend w/the Padres) so we gain back the game we lost to them on Saturday and re-leap-frog them back into 2nd* Braves win 1-0 in the 10th on a Freddie F Freeman walk-off double (turns out he doesn't just do it to us) so we remain 3.5 back* Phillies still phightin' it out in the Valley of the Sun, so their gap behind us either remains one game or jumps to two depending on that outcome as we prepare for the two-game head to head starting Tuesday* the weekend dropped the Marlins 3 back of usGood weekend overall; could have been better but also could have been worse.14-11 is OK, although a bit more than OK when you remember that it's off an 0-3 start. 14-8 is a nice 22-game run, especially when six of those were vs Atlanta and there was a west-coast trip thrown inYou can see the intrigue in Chris Young even if he's destined to be frustrating at times
