TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Terry is awfully committed to Curty pants in the two hole and NOT batting Duda cleanup. Mystifying.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Some hitting would be a nice change of pace. They flashed up a stat last night saying how it had been like a zillion games in a row they've lost at home when they give up 5 or more runs. IOW: pitch poorly and we lose; pitch well and we sometimes lose.Been a long time since we've won a slugfest, or even a semi-slugfest, in Queens.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Wow. Muffys been practicin in his sleep or something. Great play.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Say what you will about Murph, but sometimes it's nice to have a thirdbaseman's arm over at second.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 2014 Mets are fundefeated with Recker in the lineup.

I think maybe we should put him out there w/o a glove. Muffs a bare knuckles old timey player.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Young gets his homerun cut in against the Seawolf, and... comes up about 25 feet short.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Grandy better get on a hot streak at the plate soon or that average of his is gonna be like a ball and chain.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Koehlers curve ball has me bending at the knees over here. And I'm sitting down.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 "This one hits Young on the back of the tricep."I think that's called "the tricep."
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 You guys see the clip of Braun hitting the guy w/the bat? OUCH! That was worse than I thought it would be. How could anyone stand at the traffic center of the dugout and swing a bat like that?Duda doubles in Murph!1-0 us
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Let's go, EY. Make this inning special.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 No wonder our pitchers can't hit. They won't pitch to em!Great AB from Gee. Bases loaded, 2 outs.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I thought Grandys grounder hit the catchers glove before the ground.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I thought Murph was off the bag there on the previous play.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I missed it...I was watching the stretch Ronnie was talking about.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Yeah, he may have cheated a bit on that stretch.Gee, squinting in the sun, kind of sneers the way Duda does.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Ron and Gary sounding like morons trying to talk about Jeff Conine without saying his name.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I was at that game when Randolf hit the opposite field homer. All my brothers and I came to town for that game. Good box seats too, field level, across from 3rd. When Willie hit that homer Shea went as silent as I've ever heard her.
