Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 It was moderately popular last year, so we'll try it again this year. IPP stands for Individual Player Predictions. These will be threads where we share our expectations of how a player will perform in the current year. Feel free to make your predictions as specific or as vague as you like. (You can find a listing of the 2013 IPPs here.)I'm not sure what to think about Cesar Puello. Despite his PED past, he's still ranked among the top Mets prospects on just about every list that's been posted in this forum recently. If he's as good as they're saying, he may very well be ready to push his way into the Mets outfield this year or next. If there's an injury, or if Chris Young falters, or if Chris Young thrives and gets traded, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Cesar get regular playing time with the Mets by late August.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Rips up PCL pitching, then gets called up late in the year to be a regular outfielder.55 games, .278, 10 HR, 37 RBI.Later
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 No idea beyond his starting in AAA.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 We'll see him the last week of September.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Great numbers in AAA, if not spectacular considering the run-scoring context. 25 PAs in September.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 With Edgy pointing out how poorly den Dekker has done so far for the Mets this year, I decided to check in on Cesar Puello, to see if he's an option for a call up.Doesn't look that way. At Las Vegas this year he's .219/.312/.298. 57 games, 1 homer, 2 triples, 7 doubles in 203 plate appearances. 7 steals in 8 attempts.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 That follows a disastrous Dominican winter at .200 / .252 / .261 // .513.
