Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 It was moderately popular last year, so we'll try it again this year. IPP stands for Individual Player Predictions. These will be threads where we share our expectations of how a player will perform in the current year. Feel free to make your predictions as specific or as vague as you like. (You can find a listing of the 2013 IPPs here.)Kirk Nieuwenhuis starts this year lower on the depth chart than in any recent season. In last year's "What outfield?" season, he only had 95 at bats, and I think we'll see less of him this year. He may not arrive in New York until September, if then.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I am afraid he whiffed his way out of a big league job. I suppose raking it in Vegas earns him some reserve put up here but would not even count on that. He's one of the throw ins in my big spring training shortstop deal.Never plays for the Mets again.

smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Gets a token appearance when one of our outfielders goes on the DL. Needs to hit with a dramatically reduced K rate at AAA to see any more significant time in the majors.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 15 inconsequential PAs in September. On the plus side, he'll have access to a LOT of cheap buffet food this year.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Will be leapfrogged by Den Dekker as the first LH hitting outfielder to be brought up.If the does get his cuppa' joe, it will be a demi tasse.Later
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I expect him to put up nearly a .999 OPS in Vegas, get a call up in June for ~15 days to replace someone, hit .150/.200/.300 with 1 HR over 20 PA (I have no idea if that's possible to match the slash line, and don't care) get demoted again, and then traded in July.
